Independent Peat Expert Working Group Releases Phase One Progress Update

Sustainable Forest Management Policy 2.0, the Independent Peat Expert Working Group, or IPEWG – a working group comprising global peatland experts and scientists – has published a summary of its work since its inception.

As well as summarising the development of a Peatland Roadmap and related Workplan, the report covers the working group’s progress and challenges over the past two years, as well as the priorities to be tackled as part of Phase Two of its remit.

As IPEWG coordinator, Ruth Nussbaum notes, the purpose of the Progress Report is to provide stakeholders with meaningful insights into the work of the IPEWG so they remain informed and engaged in its progress, while also welcoming feedback.

The IPWEG’s Progress Report is available for download below.
