APRIL Group Aligns Forest Conversion Free Cut-Off Date with Global Standards

Following a strategic review of its supply chain and close consultation with its independent Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC), APRIL Group has updated its forest conversion cut-off date to 31 December 2020 effective 20 February 2026, ensuring full alignment with evolving international regulatory frameworks – including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) conversion date, and the Accountability Framework initiative (AFi).

This update supersedes all prior references to the 2015 cut-off date across all existing APRIL policies, supplier due diligence systems, and operational frameworks. Accordingly, APRIL is in the process of reviewing and updating its Sustainable Forest Management Policy (SFMP 2.0) which APRIL had steadfastly implemented for a decade and needs to be brought up to date.
